INDIA

One trip I always reflect upon is the one I made to India in 2019. Me, along with my cousin Emily and friend Sinead decided to journey to India and travel around for a bit in celebration of our 30th birthdays.

At first I was a little apprehensive about being the only guy with two beautiful girls in India, I could see us being on the news as missing tourist statistics and I wondered what thirst trap selfie they would use for me, whatever it was just please be one with hair.

In the weeks leading up to the trip, we would meet at Emily's and she would feed us vegan goodies and we would site around a big white board with a map and marker pens plotting our journey.

Emily and I would start in Goa for a couple of nights then head to Delhi to get our hotel before Sinead would join us. We would then go to Agra for the Taj Mahal, followed by Jaisalmer, Jaipur and Jodhpur.

Goa was definitely my favourite place to visit out of all of India. It certainly carried that rustic, hippy charm that comes to mind when you think of Goa, likely due to its Portuguese influence combined with traditional Indian culture.

There were really good choice of restaurants and the food was really good quality. remember India is a developing country and there is poverty and sub optimal resources like drainage etc.

The beaches are surprisingly very clean, and the water clear. We got a beach hut which furnished an outdoor shower, which was cold admitedly but the heat of India this was super refreshing, and under the stars made a very tranquil experience.
