WHY SKIPPING?

Inspired by a person's story of hardship, they turned to skipping and have sailed through to become a successful business person, all due to a bit of rope. I don't expect those results, but what I do hope for is the continuous self loving trajectory and discipline that exercise can give you.

I've always been more of a build muscle type of guy, but after surgery my health goals changed. Having had to rely on healthcare during a national doctors strike, I never want to be in a position I cannot look after myself again. There is nothing more vulnerable than handing over responsibility to someone you expect to be an advocate for your health and welfare and being left, neglected or mistreated. 

 

If that doesn't scare you into keeping fit, I don't know what will, but I'm keen on improving my flexibility, endurance, cardiovascular reserve whilst of course still aiming to look good in speedos. Every year I get older it's like the universe hands you another ailment to moan about, so I want to stop making noises when I tie my laces up, or my joints suddenly clicking just to turn and talk to the person next to me, or sounding like the Rhino at the back of the Jumanji stampede after climbing a short set of stairs.
